Where Are the Lexus Manufacturing Plants?

Where are Lexus cars made? Lexus has seven manufacturing plants in the following locations:

North America

  • Georgetown, Kentucky, United States: Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky (TMMK) assembles the Lexus ES sedan.
  • Cambridge, Ontario, Canada: Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada, Inc. (TMMC) produces the popular Lexus RX and its hybrid counterpart, the RX Hybrid.
  • Princeton, Indiana, United States: This plant is responsible for the production of the Lexus TX SUV, a newer addition to the lineup.

Japan

  • Tahara Plant (Tahara, Aichi): Known for being one of the finest car factories in the world, it produces the Lexus LS, IS, GX, LX, and RC.
  • Motomachi Plant (Toyota City, Aichi): This plant, which also built the LFA supercar, is the home of the Lexus LC.
  • Miyata Plant (Miyawaka, Fukuoka): This plant assembles the Lexus IS and ES.
  • Kyushu Plant (Miyawaka, Fukuoka): This facility produces the Lexus UX and NX, as well as their hybrid variants.
  • Yoshiwara Plant (Toyota City, Aichi): This plant is dedicated to building the Lexus LX.

Lexus Production: How Far Does it Reach?

Lexus is Toyota’s luxury brand and was founded in Toyota, Aichi, Japan. Its headquarters, however, are located in Nagoya, Aichi, Japan. In addition to the manufacturing plants listed above, Lexus has operational centers in Brussels, Belgium and Plano, Texas. Lexus vehicles are available in over 70 countries and territories worldwide, making them a global presence in the luxury segment.
